On July 14, The Bolton News met with Ms. Lashurn Williams, Ed.S., Principal at Bolton-Edwards Elementary and Middle School. She shared some exciting and important information that she asked us to pass on to students and parents:
REGISTRATION: If you have not yet registered, NOW IS THE TIME! You must get registered between July 19 and July 23. If you have your access codes, you may login to your account and register online. If you do not have them, please contact the school as soon as possible between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm, Monday through Friday.
BOOK BAG GIVEAWAY! From 10am to 11am on Saturday July 24 (or while they last), the Hinds County Sheriff's Department will be giving away a book bag to BEEMS students who need one! They will be in the parking lot of Bolton-Edwards Elementary School. Quantities are limited.
Parents of Elementary and Middle School students (pre-K through 8th grade): WATCH YOUR MAILBOX the first few days of August. On July 30th, we will mail a letter to you that provides the day and time of your appointment for Parent-Teacher Conference at the school. Your child's teacher will meet with you on either August 6 or August 9 (before students return to classes on August 11th). If you have not received your letter in the mail by August 4th (and you have not heard from us by phone), please call us at 601-866-2523, to find out the day and time of your appointment.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS: The first day of school is Wednesday, August 11, 2021. It is going to be a GREAT year and we can't wait to see you at BEEMS!
