Bolton library to host Alzheimer’s and dementia education program

The Annie Thompson Jeffers Library in Bolton will host an educational program focused on understanding Alzheimer’s disease and dementia on Monday, Nov. 9.


The program, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Mississippi Chapter, will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the library, located at 111 Madison St. in Bolton.


“Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” will provide attendees with information about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on individuals and families. The program also will address the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as disease stages and risk factors.


Participants will learn about current research and treatments available to help address some symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. The program also will introduce resources available through the Alzheimer’s Association.


The educational session is designed to help community members better understand Alzheimer’s and dementia and learn where to find additional information and support.


The program is open to the public.
