Primary Election Results for District 2

In District 2, longtime Congressman Bennie Thompson won the Democratic primary, getting 96% of the vote over challenger Jerry Kerner.

Thompson, of Bolton, has been serving as District 2’s congressman since 1993 – and is currently the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and the January 6th Commission.

The GOP nominee for District 2 will be decided in a runoff on June 28th.
