BEEMS students are eagerly preparing for a highly anticipated celebration on Friday, October 31, as they take part in a fun and educational event by dressing as their favorite book characters. The celebration is designed not only to promote a love of reading but also to encourage creativity, allowing students to step into the worlds of their beloved stories through imaginative costumes. From classic storybook heroes to modern literary favorites, students will transform the school into a vibrant showcase of characters, bringing the pages of books to life in a visually engaging and festive environment. Classrooms will buzz with excitement as students and teachers embrace the theme, creating an atmosphere that highlights both learning and fun.

The centerpiece of the day will be a hallway parade, where each student will have the opportunity to walk through the school and proudly display their costumes to peers, teachers, and staff. The parade fosters a sense of community and celebration, as students cheer for one another while sharing their love of literature. To enhance the excitement, parents are asked to contribute to the festivities by donating one unopened, sealed bag of candy or treats to their child’s homeroom teacher by Monday, October 27. These treats will be distributed during the parade, giving every student a sweet reward and adding to the festive spirit of the day.

As students step into the roles of their favorite characters, they develop a stronger appreciation for stories while engaging and expanding their own imaginations. By bringing their favorite characters to life, students gain a deeper appreciation for stories while exploring their own imaginations. The celebration also strengthens the school community, bringing families, teachers, and students together in preparation and participation. With its combination of education, fun, and community involvement, the BEEMS book character celebration promises to be a memorable highlight of the fall season, leaving students with lasting memories and a renewed excitement for reading.
